10 years!

On January 12, 2001 I met a man that would change my life! To quote a favorite lyric from Phish, "You decide what it contains, how long it goes but this remains, the only rule is it begins. Happy, happy all my friends!" How happy I am on this day!

NYE in NYC!!

We arrived on 12/30 to a very snowy NYC! We had lunch at Dos Caminos in Soho and then shopped around a bit.
After wandering through the snow in Soho we went to Midtown. The snow there was mostly gone. A little shopping at Louis Vuitton and then on to Rockefeller Center to see the tree. It was a dream come true for me!

Dinner 12/30 at Do Hwa in West Village - crazy good Korean food. We had zucchini pancakes, kimchi dumplings, black cod, and pork belly wraps.

After dinner in front of our hotel, Washington Square Hotel in West Village. The best hotel, we loved it! Will stay here our next time in the city - a great boutique hotel.

Wandering around The Village on New Year's Eve - finally cleaning up the snow!
Walking to Otto for lunch on 12/31 - sloshing through the snow...
Washington Square Park on 5th and Waverly Place- beautiful covered in snow!
Lunch on 12/31 at Otto Entecca on 5th Avenue - Mario Batali's pizza place. Sooo good! I had prosciutto pizza and Dave had anchovy pizza. We stayed for almost 2 hours there, it was such a cool environment and amazing food!
Black and white dessert at Otto. Wonderful, amazing!!
Sunset in The Village on 12/31 - last sunset of 2010! What a way to end the year!
Phish tickets in hand for 12/31/2010! So cute how excited he was!
Me too, I was so excited!! Ready to ring in 2011 in Madison Square Garden!! The concert was ridiculous and just to be in MSG on New Year's was cool!! Phish put on an awesome show!!
We loved staying in The Village - just on Washington Square. Tons of shopping and restaurants to choose from.
Our last meal in the city - on Bleecker and Macdougal - outstanding Indian buffet! Taj Indian did not disappoint... the only meal we didn't plan and just stumbled upon. It was perfect!
The best part -- My mom worked in The Village in the 60s at 98 Macdougal. "The Hip Bagel" is now a burrito joint! We were staying 2 blocks from there, how neat!! And goodbye NYC, thanks for showing us a good time. We'll be back...
